SUNOKO’S DONATION TO THE GENERAL HOSPITAL IN SREMSKA MITROVICA

BEOGRAD, 15.10.2019 – The company Sunoko, a member of MK Group, has donated funds to the General Hospital in Sremska Mitrovica for the purchase of a database server, thus helping the proper functioning of this institution providing healthcare services to 350,000 inhabitants of the Srem region.
On that occasion, Slobodan Košutić, General Manager of Sunoko said that the company Sunoko is strategically dedicated in its daily operations and various socially responsible activities to the development of the Vojvodina region in which it operates, adding: “With this donation we want to help the inhabitants of Srem, among whom are our colleagues and their families from the production center in Pećinci, to get modern health facilities that will provide them having adequate health care.”
The Director of General Hospital Živko Vrcelj expressed his appreciation and emphasized that database server operation is crucial for further functioning, both in the institution itself and in communication on other levels of the health system.” Sunoko’s support is not only about facilitating the day-to-day operations of the hospital, but also creating a good foundation for our next digital steps through joining the Republic of Serbia’s unique health information system, which will increase the quality of service for our patients,” added Vrcelj.
The company Sunoko, which operates within MK Group, a long-time leader in sugar production, has invested more than 3 million dinars in the development of the local community in the past year alone – from donations of computer equipment to investments in the development of transport infrastructure in Srem.
The company MK Group is committed to improving the diagnosis, treatment and care of our healthcare system. For this reason, he is one of the founders of the Magnet for Love Foundation, whose initiative raised 400,000 eur for the purchase of accompanying equipment for the Children’s Hospital in Novi Sad. The company Carnex, also a member of MK Group, has provided funds worth 70,000 eur for the construction and equipping of operating room for cesarean section at the maternity ward of the General Hospital in Vrbas.
In the last five years alone, MK Group has implemented 500 socially responsible projects through which the company raised four million eur.
