STATEMENT on the absence of GMOs in sugar

The company Sunoko d.o.o. Novi Sad is dealing with the production of sugar, molasses and patented sugar beet pulp with seeds that are not genetically modified in all its Production Centers such as PC Kovačica, PC Pećinci and PC Vrbas.
-The adjuvants used in the production of sugar, molasses and patented sugar beet pulp are on the Positive List of adjuvants used in the food industry, as prescribed by the relevant ministry.

The adjuvants used in the process of production does not cause allergic effects while consuming the finished product – crystal sugar, says Ljubisa Radenkovic, Director of the company Sunoko d.o.o., Novi Sad, adding that the finished product – crystal sugar does not contain gluten.

The only ingredient from the list of allergens present is sulfur oxide whose presence is still below the maximum allowable value.
