Pecinci
Sugar plant „Donji Srem“ is one of the state-of-the-art sugar plants in the region. During the sugar beet processing campaign, this factory has the highest processing capacity.
Location:
Donji Srem, 1.5 km south of the village Pećinci and 45km west of Belgrade.
Employees:
Sugar plant „Donji Srem“ employs 127 permanent employees, 7 fixed-term employees and around 140 seasonal workers.
Capacities:
The plant processes 8,000 tons of sugar beet daily and produces 1150 tons of sugar. The annual capacity of sugar beet processing reaches 800,000 tons, which is one fifth of the annual sugar beet crop in Serbia.
